Marketing Foundations
2 Semesters 6 Credits
Grades 10-11-12
Students study the areas of salesmanship, management, merchandising, market research, non-profit marketing, and entrepreneurship. Students operate their own screen-printing business.
Students explore marketing careers in four-week internships. Leadership training is offered through the co-curricular youth organization, Distributive Education Clubs of America.
Students may participate in the Marketing program for one year as a sophomore, junior or senior. Juniors completing this program often join the Sports, Recreation, & Entertainment Marketing their senior year. Students are able to earn both high school as well as college credits while participating in Marketing.
Earn up to nine college credits through IVY Tech College, Indiana Business College, Sullivan University, Johnson & Wales University, University of Northwestern Ohio, & Pennsylvania Culinary.
This is an excellent opportunity for any student who plans on pursuing a post-secondary degree in business administration, accounting, finance, and/or marketing.
